EV3 MINDSTORMS Robotics - WRO FEBRUARY

A master class for learning techniques, procedures, coding, strategy leading in to competing in a Steam Works sponsored  competition team. This class will prepare you for competition using the Mindstorms EV3 kit and challenges laid out on a Competition team table. Teaches problem solving, working in a team, trouble shooting skills, perseverance, mechanical engineering, design, strategy, documentation, presentation and programming while making robust Robots that can win tournaments.

In this camp, campers will explore how our eyes and brains work together to see motion and images. Campers will investigate visual perception, light, and illusion by creating classic optical toys. Through hands-on building and experimentation, students will learn how still images can appear to move and how simple designs can trick our eyes. 

Science of Illusions

Interested in health, medicine, and the human body? Sign-up for our Little Doctors camp! Diagnose patients & look at your very own cells from underneath a microscope! Collect bacteria and grow it in a petri dish. Learn how to sew stitches & 3D print a model of the heart. Campers design a stethoscope & a cool microscope to take home!

Campers learn basic elements of Robotics such as sensor utility, gear trains, engineering design, logical thinking & coding, testing and performance. Mission in Robotics

Step into the future and explore the world of artificial intelligence! In this exciting camp, campers will learn how Al and machine learning power the technology around us-from chatbots to self-driving cars. Through hands-on projects and interactive coding challenges, they'll train AI models, experiment with video, image (facial expressions) and speech recognition, and discover how machines "learn" from data. We will be using cameras, sensors, and microphones.

Campers will explore the art of ceramics - learning, sculpting, and glazing techniques to create their own functional and decorative pieces. Join our Cardboard Automata Summer Camp, where imagination comes to life through motion! Campers design and build delightful moving creations using cardboard, cams, cranks, gears, and linkages. From a wiggling caterpillar and a spinning windmill to a moving Minecraft-inspired character, each project introduces hands-on mechanical concepts in a playful, accessible way.

Go wild at Animal Safari camp! Learn more about your favorite animals through STEAM activities! Design clay animal characters to star in a stop motion film you direct! Make a 3D LED light-up anglerfish, create a Cheetah animation! We as a team will make the perfect and sustainably  designed Safari park complete with lights, cardboard layouts, water park and animals!
